Suspension

its superior handling to a variety of sophisticated features, some of which
include:
A four-wheel independent suspension, with MacPherson strut
front, and German-inspired five-link rear, working together to provide a smooth
ride and excellent handling
Load levelling rear shock absorbers that help Pacifica
maintain a consistent ride height when laden with cargo
Front-Wheel Drive
Front-wheel drive
provides good traction and stable handling, rain or shine.
All Wheel Drive
The benefits of
All-wheel drive vehicles are numerous; of course you may not even notice them
until, one day, you find yourself in less-than-perfect driving conditions.
A viscous coupling design with no buttons to press or levers
to pull provides increased stability and steering control in inclement weather
During this time, it automatically transfers power from the
front wheels to the rear wheels when the former begin to lose traction or slip
When the system is working, you won’t even notice, providing
you with added driving protection…even in the most adverse driving conditions.
Towing

Moving day. Sometimes you need the power to do some hauling. Well, Pacifica has
you covered with its maximum towing capacity of 1587 kilograms (3500 pounds).
Auto/Stick
Drivers who

Five Star Safety Rating
Five Star Safety Rating
Take technology like
advanced multistage air bags, inflatable knee blocker for the driver, an
energy-absorbing steering column to further safeguard the person behind the
wheel, and standard side-curtain air bags for all seating rows, and it’s easy
to understand how Chrysler Pacifica received the U.S. Government's highest
crash test ratings for both frontal and side impact protection and one of the
best Rollover Resistance Ratings of SUVs tested. All contained within a rigid
steel cage.
Air Bags
Pacifica features
some of the most advanced safety features the industry has to offer.
The advanced multistage driver and front passenger air bag*
system that assesses the force of a front impact, then deploys the air bags
Pacifica is among the world's first vehicles to provide
available full length side-curtain air bags, providing side impact protection
for outboard seat occupants in all rows
A driver’s knee blocker that inflates simultaneously with
the front air bags
Seat Belts and Child Restraints
Second row seating
has LATCH (Lower Anchors and upper Tethers for Children), the latest in child
safety seat attachment technology. Three-point lap/shoulder belts are provided
at all seating positions.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Pacifica provides an
innovative Tire Pressure Monitoring System that alerts the driver if pressure
is too high or too low.
Recognizing that many people drive on over/under-inflated
tires, this feature will help prevent damage to the tire, the vehicle or even
personal injury. In addition, it:
Uses pressure sensors integrated into tire valve stems
Monitors pressure once-per-minute when in motion,
once-per-hour when parked and immediately after vehicle startup
Is standard on all models
Breakaway Steering Column
A four-capsule,
breakaway steering column with energy absorption straps to control the forward
motion of the driver.
1 Auto/Stick™
Auto/Stick™ is a driver-interactive automatic transmission shifter that
provides clutchless manual shifting.
2 Electronic
Stability Program (ESP™)
Electronic Stability Program is designed to assist drivers in maintaining
control of their vehicles during extreme steering manoeuvres. ESP senses when a
vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to
correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying
the brakes at individual wheels.
3 Tire Pressure
Monitoring Display System
The system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve
stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency
signals to a receiver and informs the driver via individual tire pressure
displays in the Electronic Vehicle Information Centre.
4 ParkSense™ Rear
Park Assist System
ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System helps you detect stationary unseen obstacles
while backing up. Ultrasonic sensors in the rear send a visible and audible
warning signal to the driver to help make backing out of tight spaces easier.
Intended to provide assistance to the driver. Always exercise appropriate care
while reversing.
5 ParkView® Rear
Back Up Camera
ParkView® Rear Backup Camera is a rear-facing camera that displays a view
directly behind and low to the vehicle, that is often a blind spot. The camera
is activated when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse.
6 GPS Navigation
The available satellite navigation system offers full screen map display with
vehicle location and route guidance features, turn-by-turn distance in feet or
metres, turn-by-turn screens will pop up in the navigation display in the radio
head, upcoming events such as street names and required turns along your route,
points of interest on your route and the ability to store favourite routes and
locations. The available Integrated Control Unit (ICU) includes a colour
display screen with Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD) technology
for easy viewing during daylight or at night. Navigation system operates only
in certain metropolitan areas. See your retailer for details.

Universal Transceiver

your garage door or turn on interior or exterior house lighting from the
comfort and security of your vehicle.

equipped), Remote Keyless/Illuminated Entry, headlamp and wiper functions,
service intervals, compass/temperature display and trip computer.

technology to transfer calls between your compatible Bluetooth-enabled cellular
phone and the onboard receiver. Using advanced voice recognition technology, UConnect
allows you to make and receive calls completely hands-free. A microphone picks
up the vehicle occupant’s voice, while incoming calls are broadcast through the
